An unbeaten half-century each by Debabrata Das and Arindam Ghosh helped host Bengal beat Orissa by seven wickets on the third day of their four-day East Zone C K Nayudu Trophy under-22 cricket match at Berhampore (WB) today.
The win fetched Bengal five points, while Orissa drew blank even after gaining a 35-run first innings lead.
Brief scores: Orissa 165 and 153/10 (Natraj Behera 50, Sandeep Mulia 45: M A Ansari 5/65, Ashraf-ud-din 3/27) lost to Bengal 130 and 190/3 (Debabrata Das 86 n.o, Arindam Ghosh 73 n.o: Santosh Jena 2/32).
